Abhishek Mamgain
Abhishek has more than fifteen years of professional experience in housing, urban economics, economic development, urban planning, policy analysis and financial feasibility studies. Mr. Mamgain was the lead consultant on Housing Needs assessment for the City of Penticton, Housing Action Plan for the District of Fort St. James as well as the Housing Options Analysis for the City of Richmond. He has also examined low-income homeownership during his doctoral-level research at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
James Van Hemert
James has more than twenty- five years of professional experience in urban and regional planning. He has a successful track record in empowering communities to create resilient and healthy futures through the creation of healthy community strategies, planning policy, housing, zoning bylaws and age-friendly action plans. He has designed and facilitated over 100 public engagement processes that have included public information forums, community engagement workshops, surveys, key informant interviews, focus groups, advisory committee facilitation and public hearings.
Abhay Gupta
Abhay has more than fifteen years of professional experience in policy analysis, economic development, technology, industrial productivity and labor competitiveness, demographic projections and fiscal sustainability. He has worked at the House of Commons in Ottawa, at OECD in Paris and The Conference Board in New York. Abhay has a PhD in Economics from University of British Columbia and executive program certificates from Harvard University and Columbia Business School.
Ajay Agarwal
Ajay's research interests are in exploring the determinants of Urban spatial structure, and examining the emerging travel behaviour of Generation Y. Presently, he is investigating mobility patterns of Generation Y using household travel survey data from the Greater Toronto Area.Ajay Agarwal teaches Physical Planning, Community Design, Healthy Communities, and Employment Analysis at Queen’s University. Ajay earned his Ph.D. from University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles where he also taught Urban and Regional Economics, and The Urban Context of Planning. Ajay was born and raised in India where he practiced as a consulting architect for several years before commencing his graduate studies in the United States.
